He was also fascinated by the coloring of medieval glass. With the inspiration from Europe, he traveled back to the US and eventually started Tiffany studios in New York in 1878.
Tiffany studios produced all sorts of glass products, ranging from church windows to other decorative glass fixtures and windows. The first lamp that came out of Tiffany studios was made around 1895, after being designed by Clara Driscoll who was a part of the team.
