As for getting a custom-made shade, I’m not sure about the cost either, but I imagine it might be quite challenging. The lamp should be a gift and I reached a point where I am seriously considering getting a custom made shade (excellent idea of yours!) as a last resort, if I don’t find an authentic one until next year.

Do you have any clue how much tampabaylightingrepair (I believe it’s the FL company you mentioned in your article) charges for a custom made shade?

For the socket, you can get a cheap, beat-up emeralite skeleton and use it for any spare pars you might need. You can find them on eBay. Original shades are hard to get by, check out my article.
